How to use the driving instructor diary in ADI Admin

Use the diary to see your lessons, driving tests and non-lesson events for the selected day.

This guide explains how the feature works inside ADI Admin, the diary and admin app for independent UK driving instructors.

Basic steps

  1. 1

Open the Diary page from the main app navigation.

  2. 2

Use the date controls to move between diary days.

  3. 3

Check each lesson card for the pupil, lesson time, duration and address details.

  4. 4

Upcoming driving tests appear as separate driving-test cards, so they are easy to spot alongside lessons.

  5. 5

Add non-lesson events for things such as holidays, appointments, training or car servicing. They can be timed or all day, and can cover one day or several days.

  6. 6

If a driving test date has passed without a result being recorded, it is shown as Awaiting result so you know it still needs updating.

  7. 7

Open or edit a lesson if the booking, payment status or notes need changing.

  8. 8

Tests marked as Cancelled are kept in test history but no longer appear as upcoming diary bookings.
